Established in 1987,
the Saint Joseph Valley Masonry Contractors Association is a
not-for-profit entity which is composed of members who fall into
the following categories; Regular Member of a Mason Contractor, or
Affiliate Member, and whose duties are to:

Promote the
welfare of the masonry industry

Promote better
relations between members of the Association and the public
whom they serve

Foster good-will
and encourage ethical conduct among members and promote
cooperation between members for the betterment of the industry

Promote better
relations between private owners and public bodies (such as
Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Contractors, and
Sub-contractors)

Maintain high
professional standards in the conduct of work

Combat unfair
practices

Encourage
efficiency among masonry contractors
-
Encourage those
methods of contracting for work which relieves the contractor
of improper risks
-
Encourage sound
business methods intending to raise the standing of masonry
contractors generally in the business world
SJVMC offers
collective bargaining rights for all members employing the
following union trade in the Michiana Area:
The governing body
of SJVMC is a Board of Directors made up of five members of the
Association. The Directors shall serve without compensation.
