Despite moving their operation headquarters, SMACNA of Michiana, Inc. will continue to operate independently as an industry fund.

SMACNA of Michiana, Inc. is an international trade association dedicated to providing products, services, and representation to enhance members’ businesses, markets, and profitability. Their members perform work in industrial, commercial, institutional and residential markets. They specialize in heating, ventilating and air conditioning, architectural sheet metal, industrial sheet metal, kitchen equipment, speciality stainless steel work, manufacturing, siding and decking, testing and balancing, service, energy management and maintenance.

Established in 1970, MACIAF was created for the purpose of promoting and educating the community about union construction. This is achieved through advertising, community partnerships and local education. MACIAF also acts as administrator to four trade associations: Michiana Builders Association (MBA), Saint Joseph Valley Masonry Contractors Association (SJVMCA), Michiana Area Roofing Contractors Association (MARCA), and the Michiana Builders Association Employee Assistance Program (MBA-EAP).
