Promote the welfare and the construction industry
	Promote better relations between members of the Association and the public whom they serve
	Foster good-will and encourage ethical conduct among members and promote cooperation between members for the betterment of the industry
	Promote better relations between private owners and public bodies (such as Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Contractors, and Sub-contractors)
	Maintain high professional standards in the conduct of work to combat unfair practices
	to encourage efficiency among contractors
	To support contractors and contractors’ associations in effort to rectify conditions of an unsatisfactory character
	To encourage those to encourage sound business methods tending to raise the standing of contractors generally in the business world
	Establish a responsible relationship with the Building Trades union and implement wages and conditions equitable to Management, Labor and the Owner.

MBA offers collective bargaining rights for all members employing the following union trades in the Michiana Area:

	Carpenters
	Laborers
	Plasterers
	Cement Masons
	Operating Engineers
	Teamsters
	Ironworkers

The governing body of MBA is a Board of Directors made up of five general contracting members, three sub-contractor members, and one material supplier. The Board shall serve without compensation.
