Established
in 1994, the Michiana Construction Alliance is a
not-for-profit entity which is created as a trust
fund for the purpose of improving
Labor-Management relations between the Trade
Unions and Employers and whose duties are to:

Improve job
security for the employees

Improve
organizational effectiveness (including
the organization of unorganized workers)

 |
Enhance the
economic development for the benefit of
the Employers and the Employees
|
 |
Involve the
Employees in decisions affecting their
jobs (including improving communication
with respect to subjects of mutual
interest and concern between the
employees, the Building Trades Union, and
the employers)
|
 |
Promote and
educate the building trades program to
the high school students in the Michiana
area
|
The governing body of MCA is a
Board of Trustees made up of two persons selected
by the union and two persons selected by the
employers. The Trustees shall serve without
compensation.
